If you're looking for a pure, well-made, engaging and true-to-life action film, “The Raid” might be just the thing for it. We now have a red-band trailer for it, enough to wet your appetite ahead of the spring 2012 release.

“The Raid” comes from Indonesia and tells the story of a SWAT team trapped inside a block of flats run by drug lords. Escape from there will not be an easy feat but it will certainly be messy.

The film, written and directed by Gareth Evans, first premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and was so warmly received that a Hollywood remake is in the works as we speak.

It will be out in theaters in the spring of 2012, where it's bound to draw action movie lovers. The trailer is just to get an idea of how action-packed and insane it is.

It could also be described as climatic, tense, dark and, most importantly, awesomely executed. Check it out.
