Herxode is the hacker responsible for the cyberattack

A hacker who calls himself Herxode managed to penetrate the security measures implemented by the popular sports news website, publishing in a Pastebin document the account credentials of more than 4,300 of their customers.

Track and Field News, also known as The Bible of the Sport, has suffered a data breach due to an unknown vulnerability that allowed the cybercrook to take away a few thousand credential sets, including two that seem to belong to other sites' administrators.

Customers of the websites are advised to quickly change the passwords of all the accounts that share the same credentials, to avoid any unfortunate situations.

I have alerted them on the incident, since at the time of writing, Track and Field didn't issue any notification concerning the incident on their website or their Tweeter profile.
