People's everyday life is about to change for good as Toyota has decided to take its robots to another level. The giant company recently announced the addition of two new robots to its Toyota Partner Robots series. The same line was developed to assist people in domestic duties, nursing, medical care and more.

The new released bots are the "mobility robot" and "violin-playing robot". In addition, Japan's top bot makers announced future intentions to focus onthe robotic development.

After showcasing the robot that play the trumpet, the company now comes up with the "violin playing robot", a five-foot-tall white bot that features enough high tech features to handle some pretty fine musical instruments. It uses mechanical fingers to coordinate its movements and press the strings correctly like a real pro. But, besides its ability to achieve vibrato on a violin, the robot is also said to be capable of assistance with domestic duties.

The second bot on the list was specifically designed for short-distance personal transport. It has a traveling range of 20km on one hour of battery charge, it travels at up to 6 km/h and it can avoid obstacles to reach its owner. The weirdest thing is that the 1.80 cm mountable model is capable of carrying its passengers almost anywhere they need to go. This model would offer services to people, including the elderly and the sick, carrying people "door-to-door" as Toyota claims.

Reuters reports on researchers in Japan, including the ones from academia and other rival companies like Honda, who "are racing to build robots smart enough to serve the needs of the elderly in a country where 40 percent of the population is expected to be over 65 by 2055".
