Mike Simpson, the creative director of the team at The Creative Assembly working on Total War, has taken to the official forums of the recently launched Rome II in order to issue an official apology for all the problems that some players are reporting at the moment.

The developer says that about 2 percent of those running the game, which is at the moment topping Steam activity charts, are reporting a problem and the Creative Assembly is ready to evaluate all of them.

Simpson states, “To these people we are really very sorry that you are having problems, we really want to get you enjoying our game, please do take the time to post your issue in the Support Forum if there isn't a fix for you available in there already.”

The company is evaluating its process for game launches and also trying to improve the code base via patches to make sure that Total War: Rome II is playable for as close as possible to 100% of those who have bought it.

A number of longtime fans of the franchise have also been complaining about the game mechanics and Simpson is also aiming to reassure them.

He adds, “As mentioned before launch we absolutely intend to support ROME II post-release with plenty of content, further development and comprehensive balancing through-out – and no I’m not thinking of DLC you have to pay for.”

Advice and feedback from the community is required to make sure that coming updates and DLC adheres to gamer demands.

The official forums are the best way of asking questions about Total War: Rome II and developers will check threads about the game in order to offer their opinions and read what gamers have to say.

We have played the new strategy game at Softpedia and quite liked its approach to the genre.
