This week I reported Toshiba has unveiled the world’s first 4K laptops at CES 2014. And the Satellite P50t might turn out to be one of the first notebooks with such an impressive resolution to come out on the market.

The device features a 15.6-inch amazing touch-screen display with resolution of 2840 x 2610 pixels and 282 ppi. On top of that, the screen also features edge-to-edge glass to provide amazing color, clarity and contrast.

Under the hood, the 4K laptop has the latest 4th gen Haswell architecture plus NVIDIA Quadro K200M with 2GB of dedicated memory.

Now Engadget says that even though an official time-line for when the product arrives on the market has not been provided, we’re most likely going to see the Satellite into the wild, sometimes “mid-year,” exactly in time for the back-to-school period.

Although I doubt it, schools/universities will have the money to acquire something like this.
