The devices offer powerful configurations suited for the business environment

Toshiba is going full charge into the small and medium business market, by unveiling its new compact Tecra Z40 and Tecra A50.

The Tecra Z40 notebook features a 14-inch HD or HD+ screen and buyers get to choose what kind of processors they want the device to have. Toshiba offers Intel i3, i5 or i7 options coupled with up to 16GB of RAM.

Storage-wise, users can customize their choice by adding a 500GB 7200 RPM HDD or a 512 GB SSD. Toshiba also provides the option for a backlit keyboard

The Tecra A50, on the other hand, is slightly larger, sporting a 15.6-inch HD display. The same Intel options are available here as well, with the extra Intel HD graphics 4600 and up to 16GB of RAM. Moreover, users have the option of 1 TB hard drive or 512 GB SSD.

Both models offer Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a webcam, and they run Windows 8.1 Pro out of the box.
