Affordable price meets good hardware specifications

Toshiba announced the launch of a new mobile computer system that comes as an addition to the companies already existing series of Satellite M205 notebooks. The new product is now available under the designation of Satellite M205-S7452 and it comes as a thin and lightweight machine that is aimed at delivering a high level of performance even on a limited budget.

The new Toshiba Satellite M205-S7452 notebook comes equipped with a standard high definition 14.1 inch widescreen display and many multimedia targeting accessories like Web camera, microphone and stereo speakers. On the hardware specifications side, the new M205 is based on the Intel Centrino Duo mobile computing platform that was designed in order to offer the best in mobility, productivity and multimedia entertainment.

Toshiba's brand new M205 notebook is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T5250 central processing unit that runs at 1.5GHz while having 2MB of L2 cache memory and a 667MHz frontside bus. This processor is backed up by the presence of 1Gb of DDR2 random access memory that runs at 667MHz too and can be upgraded to reach a maximum amount of 4096MB. On the storage side the Toshiba Satellite M205-S7452 notebook comes equipped with a 160GB Serial ATA hard disk drive and it also features a DVD burner drive that supports 11 formats.

This new notebook comes equipped with a 14.1 inch widescreen display that implements Toshiba's patented TruBrite technology and it is supporting a 1280x800 native resolution and it is working in conjunction with the mobile Intel integrated graphics solution that is specific to all computer systems based on Centrino technology, the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 that can share between 8MB and 256MB of video RAM from the system's memory.

On the connectivity side this personal use intended laptop is coming with a pretty standard set of features like the Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG wireless adapter card that is compliant with the 802.11a/b/g standards. This new line of personal notebooks from Toshiba is available now from the manufacturing company's online stores at a starting price of $949.99 for the base hardware configuration which also includes the 32-bit version of the Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium.
