Among the numerous new products introduced by Toshiba at CES 2011 we've also spotted a new addition to the company's Camileo line of pocket HD Camcorders, namely the S30 model, that delivers a host of rather interesting features in a very compact and light package.

The latest addition to the CAMILEO S-Series line, the new S30 model features an ultraportable form factor, being only three-fourths of an inch thin and weighing only 4.2 ounces (which makes it roughly the same size as most modern smartphones available out there).

However, despite its slim body, the S30 offers a good level of functionality and versatility, as it sports image stabilization in 1080p, 720p and 480p modes for smooth and clear videos, as well as a a touch screen designed for easier navigation.

In addition, the CAMILEO S30 doubles as an eight megapixel digital still camera, while also sporting a SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card slot supporting cards with up to 64GB capacity for an estimated 10 hours of recording at 1080p, or 24 hours at the lowest setting.

Viewing the recorded content is also fairly easy, as the device features a HDMI interface for connecting to a TV set, as well as an UBS connector of hooking the Camileo up to a computer and transferring the files.

“The CAMILEO S30 camcorder is for those who want an easy to use, compact camcorder at an affordable price with the high quality they expect from Toshiba,” said Paul Collas, director, accessory marketing, Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., Digital Products Division.

“This camcorder is another step in Toshiba’s expansion of products for consumers who enjoy capturing, sharing, editing and viewing their lives in HD,” added Mr. Collas.

If you're keen on getting your hands on the CAMILEO S30 as soon as possible, then you're in luck, since this thing is immediately available for purchase, starting at $179.99 MSRP.
