Lifetime confirmed that Tori Spelling would be bringing her marital problems to the small screen, through a new docuseries called True Tori, which premieres on April 22. Below is the first teaser trailer for it.

No matter what you expected, this will probably turn out to be even more dramatic: the 34-second video shows Tori and husband of 7 years Dean McDermott on the couch, perhaps during a couples therapy session, talking about how he had cheated on her and broke her trust.

McDermott was exposed in the press as a serial cheater after one of the women he slept with went to the tabloids with her story last year. Since then, he’s checked into rehab to get back on the right path but, other than that, neither he nor Tori ever addressed the allegations.

Scenes with Tori alone in the studio are also included, and she’s addressing the camera directly, saying she knows this might not have a happy ending.

True Tori is already shooting, going into production just 3 weeks before its air date. In the press release announcing it, Lifetime said that the idea was to give it an “open ending” of sorts, in the sense that Tori would actually be trying to work through her problems with Dean in front of the camera. No one – not even Tori or Dean – knows the outcome.

True Tori is billed a docuseries, like Lindsay Lohan also got on Oprah’s network OWN. It will have 6 episodes of 1 hour. Check out the trailer below to see if it’s something you’d like to tune in for.
