Unpleasant surprises keep coming in for Tori Spelling: as she’s still dealing with the fact that her husband Dean McDermott has cheated on her with a random woman last year, and she’s documenting all the drama on a Lifetime docuseries, she also has to deal with the discovery that he’s a drug addict.

The other day, court documents from McDermott’s divorce from Mary Jo Eustace, his first wife, came to light and they reveal that he had a cocaine abuse problem back in the day, and that it contributed to the demise of the marriage. Eustace testified in court that he had owned up to the addiction out of his own volition.

According to sources close to Tori speaking to Radar Online, she had no idea that her husband had this kind of dark past, though she might have suspected something from some of the things he’s been saying on the aforementioned docuseries, True Tori.

However, when he confirmed it to her during one of the counseling sessions to which cameras did not have access to, she felt as if her entire world came crumbling down.

“Dean doesn’t want to use the word ‘cocaine’ on Tori’s reality show because he is afraid it will be difficult for him to get work in the future. Tori just doesn’t know how many more surprises she can take from Dean,” says an insider.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. For the past several weeks, fans at home got to watch Tori’s once-happy marriage crumble to dust, while she’s desperately trying to put the pieces back together and see if they could still continue as a family.

True Tori has been quite painful to watch so far but, even so, it still sparked some talk about being fake because, it is said, it was Spelling who planted the cheating story to the tabloids in the first place. Since then, she’s been acting.

If this is true, she’s delivering the best performance of her career. In the most recent teaser released by Lifetime, Tori and Dean are on the couch again, during counseling, and they’re trying to determine why Dean felt like cheating the night he went out and picked up a woman and brought her back to his hotel room.

You will find it embedded below. He says he needed “validation” because he was feeling very insecure and was at a very low point in his life, but the explanation is tearing Tori inside even worse than anything else before. She’s furious too, to the point where she tells him to shut up because she’s done listening to his lies.

In response, he just walks out.
