14 DAY TRIAL // Club 3D just announced the launch of a new high end discrete graphics card aimed at gamers and computer enthusiasts and this brand new product is based on the ATI Radeon HD 2900 Pro graphics processing unit. This new card is the implementation of the AMD/ATI R600 graphics processing unit that comes with a core clock of 600MHz while providing enough performance for the high end market segment.
Thanks to its new R600 GPU this Club 3D Radeon HD 2900 PRO graphics card is able to run at high clock speeds as its memory is clocked pretty high too at 1.6GHz and it integrates no fewer than 320 unified stream processors. The main memory interface between the graphics processing unit and the dedicated video memory is 512-bits wide, while on the memory specifications side this card is using the latest GDDR3 memory modules available, while its high amount of 512MB makes it perfectly suited for high end 3D applications and games.
Just like the entire line of AMD Radeon HD 2000 range of graphics processing units, the HD 2900 Pro GPU too is able to handle the latest specifications of the Microsoft DirectX 10.0 and the Shader Model 4.0, as well as the open graphics library OpenGL 2.
The Club 3D Radeon HD 2900 PRO 512MB GDDR3 graphics card also integrates a HDMI implementation that comes with a 5.1 surround sound chip that can be used in conjunction with the DVI-HDMI adapter and it features support for multi display solutions and CrossFire too. In order to be able to operate in a stable manner, the manufacturing company also included an active cooling solution named Intelligent Heatpipe Cooling, that thanks to its massive heatpipes should be able to handle even a little bit of overclocking too.
This new high-end graphics card is certified to work with all currently used Microsoft operating systems like Windows 2000, XP, Vista. Until now there is no information concerning the availability of this product, or its pricing scheme.
