Because they’re so much in the media attention, it’s hard for stars to always say the right thing at the right time. However, when caught on the wrong footing, the things that come out of their mouth can make for a bout of hysterical laughter that no joke, no matter how good, can give way to. The top 50 celebrity quotes that have made this past decade funnier have been comprised by CelebrityOdor and to say that they show the “best” in our modern celebrity culture is clearly an understatement.

Starting the countdown, we find Brooke Hogan at number 50: the reality show star and occasional singer has no intention of ever getting too political, as she said in an interview in 2008. Because of the “emotions and menopause and PMS and stuff” that women deal with on a monthly basis, Hogan said she couldn’t understand why a woman would want to run for president, let alone get into politics by voting.

At number 45 is rapper Kanye West who, before his infamous “Imma let you finish” speech at the 2009 VMAs, said in an interview that his voice would be the loudest of his generation. Whether he meant it or not, this actually turned out to be true. In 2002, Simon Cowell said of working with Paula Abdul on American Idol that “I actually don’t understand a word Paula’s saying anymore. It’s like a new language.” For this, he proudly occupies position number 38.

At 31, we find Kid Rock, who said in a 2002 interview that, if he ever got to be president of the US, he would turn churches into less religious establishments with dancing girls, and invite the whole world to party. Rocker Ozzy Osbourne lands at 28, saying in 2008 that, “I think MTV should consider using subtitles. Half the time, even I can't understand what the [expletive] I’m talking about.”

The final top 10 is inaugurated by Heidi Montag, who said in 2008 she would be “persecuted” like Jesus. Up next are Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, Kellie Pickler, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Mel Gibson. Top 3 goes to Tom Cruise on how psychiatry is just a “pseudoscience,” Jessica Simpson on whether tuna is chicken or fish and Whitney Houston. “Crack is cheap. I make too much money to ever smoke crack. Let’s get that straight. OK? We don’t do crack. We don’t do that. Crack is whack,” the diva told Diane Sawyer in an interview right after allegations of drug use.
