Tony Hawk Sidekick LX, the special edition of the Sidekick LX handset, is now offered by T-Mobile USA, but only for users who are already its customers. The retail price of Tony Hawk Sidekick LX is of $449 (50 bucks more than the original version), but with a contract agreement for two years, you can get it for only $299. In order to buy the new Tony Hawk Sidekick LX, you first have to login on T-Mobile's website using your T-Mo cell number.

The Tony Hawk handset will also be available for those who are currently not T-Mobile users, but the fourth largest US mobile carrier doesn't say when exactly this happens.

First unveiled at the beginning of June, this special edition of Sidekick LX comes with a grip-tape texture, Tony Hawk graphics and skateboarding-related themes. Also, it brings enhanced features like stereo Bluetooth support and the ability to record videos with its 1.3 Megapixel camera.

The other features of the handset include quad-band GSM connectivity (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz), a swiveling display that hides a full QWERTY keyboard, "real web browsing", email, text and picture messaging, Music player, MyFaves capabilities, expandable memory, external caller ID, embedded games and so on.

As the original Sidekick LX, the Tony Hawk edition weighs 5.8 ounces (164 grams) and, when closed, it measures 5.2 x 2.4 x 0.7 inches (132 x 61 x 18 millimeters). Its battery is a 1540 mAh that can offer a pretty good talk-time (up to six hours) but only up to four days of stand-by time.

With the special edition of Sidekick LX, users will also receive a 128MB microSD card, a carrying case and a stereo handsfree headset. Oh, and Tony Hawk's virtual appreciation, of course.
