Apparently, Windows users have implemented the tool in order to create a profile of their Windows operating system and then have simply posted the results online. The only positive aspect of Windows product keys published is the fact that Windows Vista users have not as yet crowded to do the same thing, although there are over 100 Windows XP Professional users that just couldn't help themselves.
