The famous online video sharing platform is about to host the first CNN YouTube presidential debate that brings the Democratic candidates in front of the YouTubers and allows them to ask any kind of question. Basically, it works like an interactive video meeting: the registered members of the service have the possibility to upload clips on YouTube and ask their question straight to the candidates. The first debate takes place in Charleston, South Carolina where no less than 8 Democratic senators registered for the 2008 Presidential race will answer YouTubers' questions.

"On July 23, at 7 p.m. ET on CNN, you get to make political history in the first CNN/YouTube Debate. Live from Charleston, South Carolina, all eight Democratic presidential candidates on the You Choose '08 platform will answer the questions you've submitted through videos right here on YouTube," Steve G., YouTube News & Politics, wrote today on the official blog of the online video sharing platform.

"Thousands of you have submitted your questions for the Democratic contenders. You've moved yourselves into the center of the political dialogue, and the candidates for the U.S. presidency have been listening. Now they're ready to tackle your questions on LIVE television."

A long time ago, YouTube rolled out CitizenTube, a special channel hosted by the video sharing platform that is meant to host all the clips related to the upcoming 2008 Presidential election and its candidates. Also, the parent company Google signed a deal with CNN to create those presidential debates and invite all the Democratic and the Republican candidates to YouTube in order to answer members' questions.

If you didn't upload a question for your favorite candidate registered for the 2008 Presidential race, you should do it now and get involved into the election because it's your American duty to do it. Have a look at the following clip to get an idea about how this kind of clips look like:
