Electronic Arts' EA Play Label announced yesterday the artist line-up of the soundtrack for the next big expansion for The Sims 3. The add-on is called Ambitions and it features, according to EA, songs in the Sims' language, Simlish, performed by a variety of artists from many musical genres. Toni Braxton, Rise Against and Lady Antebellum are only a few of the famous names that will populate the game's music score.

As of today, the artists and songs that appear in-game are:

Toni Braxton - Make My Heart; Lady Antebellum - Need You Now; Rise Against - Savior; Charice - Pyramid; Melanie Fiona - Bang Bang; Neon Trees - Animal; V V Brown - Shark In The Water; Daisy Dares You - Number One Enemy; OK Go - This Too Shall Pass; Old 97's - Early Morning; Murder By Death - As Long As There is Whiskey In The World; The Acorn - Restoration; Mike Posner - Cooler Than Me; Violent Soho - Jesus Stole My Girlfriend; Kerli - Tea Party; Eli Paperboy Reed - Come And Get it; Hal Linton - Lock My Heart Down; Radney Foster And The Confessions - Until It's Gone; The Constellations - Setback.

The Sims 3 Ambitions aims to expand on the game's career path options. The players' Sims will be able to engage in new jobs like ghost hunting, inventing new and interesting gadgets, sculpting great works of art or solving hard cases as investigators. Another addition to the original game is the possibility to customize the Sims' careers with options like working for good or for evil, working hard or being a slacker, being a more technical mind or a more creative one.

The expansion will require the original version of the Sims to play and will be available for the PC and Mac on the 1st of June, this year. EA has announced the date for the release on mobile devices like the iPhone or the iPod touch as being sometime at the end of 2010.
