14 DAY TRIAL // There's a new “it” couple in town but, for the time being, they're not confirming it. Various reports say that Eddie Murphy and Toni Braxton have been dating for a while – and that they're quite into each other.
Us Weekly claims to have it on very good authority that the two, good friends for a long time, have moved into more intimate territory and are now an item.
However, they're yet to step out in public as a couple or even to confirm it to the press through their representatives.
The romance isn't new, though, Us Weekly says. They have been dating for about 4 months now.
“Eddie Murphy has unbroken Toni Braxton's heart! The singer, 44, and comic actor, 50, 'are seeing each other and very into it,' a source tells Us Weekly, adding that the romance started up four months ago,” the celebrity publication reports.
“The Tower Heist star – who has eight kids from previous relationships – even cheered on the mother of two (who's been separated from singer Keri Lewis since 2009), backstage at her Feb. 19 LA concert,” the same magazine writes.
The singer's publicist was the only one willing to comment on the rumors, but only to deny them, saying that they're just friends – which, of course, means they do spend a lot of time together.
“Toni and Eddie are just friends and have been fans of each other's work for a long time,” Braxton's publicist says for the aforementioned publication.
However, a spy insists that they're more than friends and have even moved to getting to know each other's family. So, yes, one could say it's serious.
“Their kids have met and everything. It's getting very serious,” notes the insider.
Eddie's most recent public romance was that with Spice Girl Melanie Brown, which eventually ended up badly and in a media scandal, when he laughed off the possibility that he was the father of her child during a TV interview, although he is just that.
On the other hand, Toni's difficulty in finding love has already been well documented on her reality series.
