This is the moment her fans have been waiting for many years: though official confirmation is still pending, Toni Braxton has offered the first indication on Twitter that she’s seriously considering posing for Playboy.

The singer seems to have come around to the idea of posing for the famous men’s magazine, taking to Twitter to ask her fans and followers whether she should do it or not.

However, she insists, if she’s to do the spread, she wants people to know it will be tastefully done, perhaps the type to show women all over the world that 40 is the new 30, as they say.

“New Year, New opportunities. So I have been considering taking up Playboy’s offer to feature me on their cover this year. What you think?” Toni asks.

“I would love to pose with Hugh Hefner though,” the singer adds, explaining that she finds him to be the hottest man over 30 she knows. “Of course it will be tastefully done :-),” she says of the spread.

“There are NOT talking that kind of spread! No Susie!!!! Just a lil T and A. They have asked me about 3 times before,” Toni adds.

As PopEater points out, the decision to finally accept Playboy’s offer may have a lot to do with Toni’s dire financial situation: in October last year, she filed for bankruptcy again.

As we also reported at the time, the singer claimed in court papers she owed anywhere between $10 to over $50 million in unpaid bills.

Consequently, she may be looking into ways to boost her income in those trying times, which is why she’s already accepted an offer for her own reality show and now the Playboy spread.

“Now the singer is looking for alternate forms of employment to boost her income. She recently signed a deal to feature her family in a new reality TV show, and now she’s revealed she’s been offered a lucrative spread with Playboy Magazine,” PopEater writes.

Even so, word in the blogosphere has it Toni couldn’t possibly get more than $1 million from the men’s magazine, which would mean just a small amount to the huge debt she has.
