TomTom officially announced their latest in-car GPS. Continuing the marketing trend, TomTom is trying to emphasize the device's "wide screen tag". This user-friendly GPS unit comes with TomTom's award-winning plug-and-go navigation software, a new 4.3-inch touchscreen that is backed up by 32 MB of Ram, Bluetooth 2.0 and access to real traffic services. Unfortunately, the Axim screen is pretty low quality, so forget about the squinting "worry free" option.

The included map software covers all American states (including Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico) and also Canadian Provinces. It features crystal clear 3D or 2D graphics, clearly spoken instructions in your language. It might include 36 languages, but it surely doesn't comes with an user interface in the Inuit language. Here comes the good news. If you're one of those humans which get easily irritated when listening to a high pitched and annoying voice, you can choose from 55 different voices (even celebrity voices, Tom Hanks' voice maybe?).

The available services include real time info on traffic congestions, weather conditions and extra downloads such as detailed city maps, points of interest (POI) and many others (subscription and mobile that supports Bluetooth and GPRS is needed though). Other features also include QuickGPS fix for finding locations, fast route calculation and re-routing around roadblocks, car speed linked volume, Itinerary planning and Anti-glare screen.

The device will probably be available in June for 400$.
