Song is not that bad but the video is what you may call a hit and miss

He’s gotten so much flack for his attempts at making a name for himself as a rapper that it’s almost a wonder he’s still making music. Not only that, but Chet Haze is also putting out new videos, the latest being for the track called “Hollywood.”

The video begins with (grainy) images of Haze as a photographer in some sort of studio. A gorgeous blonde model (Kelly Daly) is posing for him, while he serenades her with the words every aspiring star probably hopes to hear [*sarcasm*].

Telling her he “ain’t ever seen a swagger like yours. You’re rocking items most chicks can’t afford,” Chet offers to be her “director” promising her they would “do it like they do on the big screen.”

Next scene, they’re in a hotel room, while he’s filming close-ups of her face and apparently getting ready to get into bed for Chet to fulfill the above mentioned promise.

While the song itself is not half that bad – it’s certainly better than previous efforts – the video is dumb, to say the least, voices online point out; and perhaps doubly so since Chet actually believes he’s being very subtle and suave in it.

Check it out.
