Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show relies heavily on the comedic moments generated by a series of made-up contests which, more often than not, end up in the shameful defeat of the host. On last night's The Tonight Show, Fallon had Tom Cruise play against him in a game called “Face Breakers.”

The rules were simple: the two men stood at a fixed distance from a wall of glass panels with their faces painted on them. Each would have to throw footballs at the glass panels with their opponent's face and break them. The one who broke all the opponent panels won.

In theory, it all sounds simple, but in reality, breaking a window with a football proved a lot more complicated. There are no points for guessing who won the contest, as Jimmy began by “accidentally” breaking two panels with his own face on them.

Before launching an all-out football attack on any panel that had Fallon's face on it, Cruise joked, “Did you just hit yourself?” After a strong start, the actor seemed to lose a little Steam mid-way through but, in the end, he took home the victory prize and began smashing up the rest of the panels for fun.

Seeing his own poor performance, Fallon complained that it was because of the music and demanded that they play his tune – Gangnam Style – and began dancing the signature moves as soon as first notes started playing.
