As the conference's name implies, it will mainly address game developers

As you might already know, Harrison has a big speech coming up for today at the GDC 07, where developers are promised to see the stunning versatility of Unreal Engine 3, on which many shooters and adventure games for the PS3 console will be built, info regarding how developers will use Linux to create content for the PS3 and many other aspects.

As I'm sure you've noticed, the GDC primarily addresses developers, as the conference's name implies and this year's one will be no different. In fact, Sony is showing off such fancy graphics software, physics and analysis tools, that anyone who isn't a game developer should just sit down and grab a bite. The conference is a highly anticipated one as Sony's spokesmen will also discuss issues concerning gaming communities, user-generated content, collaboration and commerce. Of course, everyone is dying to know what PlayStation Home is all about (if it's going to be called that way, for that matter).

Phil Harrison, president of worldwide studios, Sony Computer Entertainment is truly confident of the outcome after this year's GDC: "This is a very exciting time to be part of the game development community. I believe we're at the threshold of a new era in creative game development that's destined to drive our industry growth through the next decade or more."

And if everything goes as smooth as Harrison says it will, the developers will not be the only ones satisfied but also PlayStation fans and gamers worldwide as the final product of those developers will make the object of desire for the anxious gamers.
