The development team at Respawn Entertainment and publisher Electronic Arts announce that the second downloadable content pack for the Titanfall shooter title is called Frontier's Edge and will include three new maps, which are designed to introduce a set of new gaming experiences for fans.

Gamers will get to travel to a new isolated outpost called Dig Site, an exclusivist beach resort named Haven and Export, a mining hub bustling with activity that's situated on the other side of a major mountain range filled with minerals.

The company is not saying exactly what philosophy it is using when creating the new maps for Frontier's Edge.

The developers are not yet ready to offer more details on the maps or to show gamers images taken from them, but more information will be offered in the coming weeks.

The new Frontier's Edge DLC for Titanfall is set to cost gamers 9.99 dollars or Euro and is free for all those who have purchased the Season Pass for the shooter, on the PC, the Xbox One or the Xbox 360.

The studio is also unwilling to talk about a potential launch window for the new content but it will probably be offered at some point before the end of summer, in order to make sure that it does not directly compete with the big autumn launches.

The development team at Respawn Entertainment states, "Titanfall drops players in the middle of a conflict between the Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation (IMC) and the Militia. The action is rapid and varied – featuring parkour-style wall running and massive double jumps. The freedom to shift back and forth between pilot and titan allows players to change tactics on the fly, attacking or escaping depending on the situation and extending the action vertically to new heights."

Frontier's Edge is just the second DLC pack that the studio has promised to fans of the title, and it might also include an entirely new game mode.

Respawn Entertainment has pledged to offer long-term support for Titanfall via both paid packs and free updates in order to keep its community satisfied.

Recently, the shooter has gotten access to a fourth major patch that rebalanced the entire experience, changed some of the core mechanics for Burn Card use, and introduced the Marked for Death game mode.

Respawn Entertainment is encouraging all players to continue to deliver feedback on Titanfall, so that future updates can further improve the title.
