Gamers will get to play against a wider array of enemies

The development team at Respawn Entertainment announces that it is introducing a new matchmaking system to its recently launched Titanfall in order to improve overall player experience and some more variety to the make-up of the teams.

The studio explains the main system that the title uses to match players before a battle is launched and that it has found new ways to use the information that it has gathered from the player community.

Respawn explains in an official announcement that, "Searching for teammates and opponents will now sometimes take more time to look for players that are a good skill level match, rather than purely prioritizing speed over quality. This will give us more time to build better teams and create closer games that are worth staying in for a longer period of time."

The company is trying to avoid delivering the exact same opponents for gamers over and over and that means that teams will be periodically split in order to force Titanfall to deliver new opponents.

The studio adds, "Did you lose to a really great team? We'll make them disappear and replace them with a new opposing team - and they will have no idea that you just got your butts kicked. This should end some of the frustration with playing for extended periods when you're having an off night."

All the changes are available immediately in Titanfall under the playlist with the name Improved Matchmaking (Beta).

The same core ideas might be expanded into other shooter playlists as long as the development team is happy with its results.

Gamers are also invited to offer feedback on the changes that have been made to Titanfall matchmaking on the official forums.

Respawn also says that it is committed to watching all data coming from the title in order to identify all problems and to deliver updates and changes that improve the overall experience.

The company has already explained that all new game modes for Titanfall will be delivered via free updates, in order to make sure that the player community is never split.

At the same time, the downloadable content packs for the shooter, which are available at the moment using a Season Pass, will add new maps and might also introduce a new set of enemies.

Titanfall is at the moment offered on the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PC and will also soon receive a version of the Xbox 360.
