Microsoft wants to reinforce the decision of buying the new console

Phil Harrison, an executive vice president at Microsoft, says that the launch of the Xbox One should not be judged exclusively on the launch content available because the company is already working on big experiences that will arrive in the first half of next year.

Exclusive titles that are now available alongside the new home console include Forza Motorsport 5, Dead Rising 3, Fighter Within, Zoo Tycoon and Killer Instinct.

Harrison tells GamesIndustry.biz that, “it's not just the games we have at launch, although they are important, but it's knowing a customer who buys an Xbox One today knows that Titanfall is round the corner, knows that Kinect Sports Rivals is round the corner in the spring, knows that Watch Dogs is coming a little bit after that, knows that there are some mega franchises like Halo still to come.”

The wealth of incoming content should reinforce the decision to purchase an Xbox One every day as gamers think of the big titles they are interested in playing.

The Xbox One is offered on 13 core markets at the moment for a price of 499 dollars or Euro.

Microsoft has previously said that it is expecting to run out of stock soon and that only a limited number of devices will be available during the Christmas shopping season, even if the company is working with manufacturers to ship as many as possible.

The launch events for the platform went well and only small problems are reported at the moment, with some consoles apparently destroying Blu-ray drives that players are trying to use.

The rival PlayStation 4 has now been available in the United States for one full week and will be offered in Europe on November 29.

The device has managed to move 1 million devices to players in 24 hours and since then, Sony has announced that all devices with problems will be instantly replaced.
