14 DAY TRIAL // Tish Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus have managed to work through their differences once more and are calling off the divorce. Miley Cyrus’ parents announced they’d separated in June but, it seems, it was yet another false alarm.
A couple of days ago, Tish posted on Instagram the photo you can also see attached to this article.
It was accompanied by just two words, “date night,” and offered the first indication that the two might not go through with the divorce after all.
Since then, the two have released a joint statement to People magazine to confirm that, indeed, they are back together and, more importantly, determined to make it work.
“We both woke up and realized we love each other and decided we want to stay together,” Tish and Billy Ray say.
“We both went into couples therapy something we haven't done in 22 years of being together, and it's brought us closer together and really opened up our communication in amazing ways,” the statement adds.
“Tish also said marriage can be really hard especially after 22 years of being in entertainment. We've had rough times but we both realized we didn’t want to be another statistic and wanted to make it work,” the two continue.
Indeed, this is not the first time that Tish and Billy Ray find themselves in such a situation: they filed for divorce before but they always found a way to continue married.
No word yet on what Miley thinks of her parents’ decision to stay together.
After word got out in the media that Tish had filed for divorce, Miley called out her dad on Twitter, posting a photo of him and a female assistant, and urging him to “tell the truth or I will,” or something along these lines.
She removed the post shortly afterwards, but it led to loads of speculation that Billy Ray might have cheated.
