After releasing a breathtaking time-lapse video of natural landscapes last year, photographer Dustin Farrell has just released the second clip of his planned trilogy, showing the interplay between ground and sky in an entirely new approach to time-lapse video-making.

The second video is primarily focused on natural landmarks in the photographer's home state of Arizona, as well as in neighboring Utah. All images used to make this clip were snapped with a Canon 5D2 DSLR and processed with Adobe software.

“This video has some iconic landmarks that we have seen before. I felt that showing them again with motion controlled HDR and/or night timelapse would be a new way to see old landmarks,” Farrell says.

Some of the photos were snapped from the Lowell Observatory, in Flagstaff, Arizona, where officials were kind enough to allow Farrell access to the facility so that he could have a clear view of the skies. Simply enjoy this amazing work of art!
