Only a few days ago, former reality star and controversial tabloid fixture Tila Tequila dropped a bomb on her unsuspecting fans with the announcement that she was 10 weeks pregnant. She would not reveal the name of the father but he’s since come out of the woodwork to introduce himself.

His name is Thomas Paxton Whitaker and he’s a 42-year-old musician (rapper, producer, songwriter, the works) who lives with Tila. He has children from a previous relationship and he’s not doing all that great professionally but, from what he’s telling Radar Online, he’s very happy that he’s going to be a dad again.

“Tila is right around 10 weeks into her pregnancy, and yes ma’am I am the father of her/our baby. Tila has a wonderful relationship with my daughters Sierra, Jenna, and Brianna… and they love each other very much! We are all very happy about the arrival of a new edition to our family, and about the blessing of the birth of a child into the world,” Whitaker says.

He speaks of Tila in the most praising terms, commending her for being so strong, so loving, and so inspirational. Considering the kind of things she went through in recent years, including a suicide attempt, online rants, and a stint in rehab, he’s probably referring to the fact that she managed to emerge healthier and happier from this dark phase.

Tila herself speaks of this in her new interview with Us Weekly, in which she credits her unborn baby with saving her life. She admits that 2010, when her fiancé Casey Johnson died, sent her into a tailspin and that, many a time, she was convinced she would not make it out alive.

“I never knew such a love like this could exist, but I guess motherhood can truly change some people. I know it has definitely changed me, and I'm already thinking about having more. I just want my baby to be proud of me and to know how much I love him or her. To love someone else unconditionally is one of the best feelings in the entire world, and I hope I will have plenty more pregnancies to come,” she says.

Meanwhile, she’s keeping very active on social media, where she’s posting even snippets of “conversations” with her baby. She says it doesn’t matter if she’s having a boy or a girl as long as the baby’s healthy.
