In his public apology, which was broadcast live all over the world, Tiger Woods also addressed the issue of the media attention on his family, saying he found it absurd that his wife and children be harassed by paparazzi. Because the paps have even been trailing his kids to school, Woods and wife Elin have recently issued an apology letter to the parents, TMZ informs.

In the letter, Tiger and Elin apologize to all the parents who have kids going to the same school as their own, saying they completely understand if they found the excessive attention upsetting. However, they are not able to offer a solution to make the paparazzi go away, so the two are asking for more understanding and a little patience, all in the hope that, one day, interest in them will dwindle and, therefore, the paps will leave the children alone.

“Dear Premier Academy parents, We would like to share our appreciation for your support over the past several months and offer our personal apology for any inconvenience you are experiencing due to the increased media scrutiny surrounding our children. We truly understand how frustrating it can be,” Tiger and Elin say in the joint letter of apology. This way, the letter also becomes the first statement the two put out together as a couple ever since the incidents of November last year, which culminated with last Friday’s public apology.

“We hope that the paparazzi will find something better to do with their time in the near future. In the meantime, it is our goal to keep life as normal as possible for our children. We are sure that as parents you can appreciate that. For Sam, that normalcy means attending the school that she enjoys so much. Again, we truly appreciate the support from the entire Premier Academy family. Kind regards, Elin and Tiger Woods,” the letter further says.

As noted above, in his official apology, Woods urged the media (and the paparazzi in particular) to back off his family and focus only on him. In response, several major paparazzi agencies said they planned on doing no such thing because it was Tiger himself who brought this upon his family by being unfaithful, as we also reported at the time.
