EA's upcoming Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 golf simulator will, for the first time in its history, feature the famous Masters tournament, as well as the Augusta National Golf Club course.

As you can imagine, this is a huge win for both EA's Sports label, as well as for golf fans around the world, which have been enjoying the PGA Tour franchise for more than 20 years.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters will allow players to step on the famous Augusta golf course and try to win the coveted Green Jacket prize, the most prestigious one in golf.

“For more than a decade, the Masters Tournament has been the most requested and coveted feature for the Tiger Woods PGA Tour franchise among our fans,” said Peter Moore, president of EA SPORTS.

“Pairing the number one golf video game franchise with the most prestigious golf tournament in the world is a perfect marriage and we’re thrilled to bring our fans this exciting opportunity to experience Augusta National Golf Club like never before.”

As you can imagine, Tiger Woods, the famous professional golfer who is sharing his name with the franchise for more than 13 years, is also very excited about this new addition to the series.

"I am very happy and excited that the Masters Tournament is featured in the Tiger Woods PGA Tour game," said Woods.

"There are many new and unique elements in the game that will make everyone feel like they're really competing at Augusta National. Continually growing the visibility of golf is important to attracting newcomers to the sport, and I agree that showcasing the Masters Tournament in the game will bring an entirely new dimension to that approach."

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters will be launched by EA on March 29, in North America, and on April 1, in the rest of the world.

The title will be released for the PlayStation 3, complete with PlayStation Move support, as well as for the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii.

What's more, the PlayStation 3 will also receive a Collector’s Edition of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters, complete with five additional courses.
