In the United Kingdom

EA Sports must be pleased with itself. For the last few weeks, the United Kingdom videogame chart has been dominated by titles released by the Electronic Arts division. And this week, Fight Night Round 4 has slid down from number one only to allow Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 to get its place.

Apparently, Britain really likes its gold, giving a niche title the top spot. The inclusion of the Wii Motion Plus add on for the Wiimote in the package of the game might also have something to do with the strong performance shown by the title.

The first non Electronic Arts game in the chart is Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, from Activision, which was launched alongside the Michael Bay movie of the same name. Although the game was received rather poorly by critics, fans of the franchise have helped it to take third sport, followed by another Electronic Arts game, Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince, which arrives just before the movie that pushes the Harry Potter saga along.

Ubisoft managed to snag fifth spot, one up from last week, with the Western-themed Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, where quick draw is important and horses can bust through buildings.

Wii Fit, from Nintendo, has slipped down in the chart to sixth spot, while Virtua Tennis 2009 from SEGA has capitalized on the recently ended Wimbledon tournament to go up to number 7 from 9. The Sims 3 continues going down in the chart, now at number 8, while Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is making a comeback, reaching number 9, up from 12. Another Activision game, the superhero-themed Prototype, brings up the rear of the top ten.

Games like UFC 2009: Undisputed from THQ and Wii Play are no longer in the top ten best sold games in the United Kingdom.
