Fans of “The Twilight Saga” would better set their timers for tomorrow night, at midnight, because that’s when they will be able to pre-order tickets for the premiere of “Eclipse,” the third installment in the franchise. Only a few exclusive partners will be offering the tickets, so those who are dying to see the much-hyped production ahead of the rest of the world would better hurry, The Hollywood Reporter says.

Offering tickets for pre-sale is sort of like tradition with “Twilight,” since Summit, the movie studio behind the entire franchise, did the same before the release of “New Moon” as well. Useless to say, tickets literally flew off the (virtual) shelves, with the entire campaign proving to be a huge success. At this point, given the context, it wouldn’t be that far-fetched to say that the same will happen tomorrow as well.

“Tickets for Summit Entertainment’s ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ go on sale at midnight Thursday at a pair of online-ticketing sites. Fandango and MovieTickets each will offer advance ticketing of the vampire-romance three-quel, which hits multiplexes nationwide June 30. The offering of tickets six weeks before the pic’s release follows a similar early ticketing gambit by Warner Bros. with May 27 opener ‘SATC 2.’ Websites operated by major theater chains also will link to Fandango and MovieTickets, but boxoffice ticketing for ‘Eclipse’ won’t be offered until closer to the pic’s opening,” THR writes.

“Fandango asked 14,000 respondents to name the summer pic they were most looking forward to, and 36% picked ‘Eclipse.’ ‘The latest trailer has gotten great buzz among the fan sites as there’s clearly a lot more fast-paced action this time around,’ Fandango spokesman Harry Medved said. ‘There’s also great curiosity about seeing some of The Twilight Saga’s new characters coming to life on the big screen for the first time’,” the report further reads.

While things are truly brilliant with “Eclipse,” recent reports would suggest that production on the fifth and final “Twilight” film, corresponding to the second half of Stephenie Meyer’s book “Breaking Dawn” has reached a dead end. Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene are asking for more money to reprise their roles but Summit is not having any of it and is even willing to move on without them if need be, as we also informed you earlier today.
