Three new Fujitsu mobile phones available via NTT Docomo carrier have been gifted with AuthenTec's AES1750 smart fingerprint sensor.

The docomo PRIME series F-09C, docomo STYLE series F-10C and docomo SMART series F-11C waterproof phones incorporate AuthenTec's AES1750 smart sensor for multiple touch-powered features including one-touch security and personalization.

AuthenTec's move makes sense as all three phones feature NFC technology for mobile transactions.

With AES1750 smart fingerprint sensor, the phones' security will be increased, especially while using Osaifu-Keitai NFC mobile wallet transactions.

Our longstanding relationship with fingerprint sensor leader AuthenTec allows us to add differentiated features to our mobile phones, including enhanced security and other touch-powered functions. We've been very pleased with the feedback we've received about the multiple user features of AuthenTec smart sensors, which is why we continue to integrate them into select models in our expanding mobile phone lineup,” said Katsumi Takada, head of Mobile Phone Group of Fujitsu.

It is also worth mentioning that the AES1750 sensor is based on AuthenTec's TouchStone packaging technology, which makes it water-resistant.

In addition, the smart fingerprint sensor provides enhanced touch control functions, including precise cursor positioning, turbo scrolling, and full touch-pad emulation.

docomo PRIME series F-09C is a waterproof mobile phone that comes with a 3.5-inch rotating touchscreen and a 16.3-megapixel camera capable of shooting full HD movies.

docomo SYTLE series F-10C has the same water-resistant proprieties, but it features a slimmer body at only 11.8mm thickness.

In addition, it comes with 'Prism glass illumination' and a 12.2-megapixel camera for shooting full HD video.

Last but not least, the docomo SMART series F-11C is a 12.8-mm waterproof mobile phone aimed at business users, as the phone comes bundled with a business card reader linked to address book and “whiteboard photo” mode.

The new deal is part of a larger agreement between AuthenTec and Fujitsu, as 27 Fujitsu phone models already have AuthenTec fingerprint sensors incorporated.
