Last year, Advanced Micro Devices was supposed to have finished the staff reorganization, especially after CEO Rory Read finally left his post after supposedly finishing the shakedown of the company.
Now, though, the corporation has revealed that three major executives have left the company for unknown reasons.
AMD did say that the changes “are part of implementing an optimal organization design and leadership team to further sharpen our execution and position AMD for growth."
But the reason for their departure is still a mystery, and we can't really think of anything “good.”
The execs that have left are Colette LaForce, chief marketing officer; Raj Naik, chief strategy officer; and John Bryne, GM of Computing and Graphics Business Group.
John Byrne, oddly enough, only served in that position for seven months. He'd essentially been overseeing the core CPU and GPU businesses. Naik and LaForce were with AMD since 2012.
This does not seem to have affected AMD's roadmap in any way, but that doesn't mean an announcement to that effect is out of the question.
On a related note, Forrest Norrod and James Clifford have been added to the management team. Norrod is the SVP and GM for the Enterprise, Embedded and Semi-custom chip divisions, while Clifford is overseeing Global Operations (also in SVP post).
