ThreatMetrix has enhanced its TrustDefender Cybercrime Protection Platform to include advanced cloud-based malware detection mechanisms.

The enhancements include next-generation page fingerprinting techniques designed to identify man-in-the-browser malware attacks, honeypot-based detection systems, and real-time transaction scoring based on threat analytics.

Organizations can use the solution to alert them if a site visitor has a compromised device. They can also determine if the malware is designed to target the visited website specifically. This can help enterprises protect themselves against payment fraud, identity spoofing and account takeovers.

“ThreatMetrix customers now have the ability to detect new strains of malware in real-time while seamlessly integrating with ThreatMetrix’s advanced device identification capabilities,” commented Andreas Baumhof, chief technology officer at ThreatMetrix.

“With these new capabilities, ThreatMetrix will provide the largest honeypot for detecting malware via The Network, which screens more than 500 million transactions every month, across more than 1,900 customers and 9,000 websites worldwide.”
