For first-time Chromebook users, getting accustomed with the keyboard might be challenging

Any user transitioning from a PC to a Chromebook will find the keyboard to be a bit puzzling. Even if at first glance you could vouch everything was in place, once you actually start using the device for daily activities, you’ll notice the lack of print screen button or delete button.

Even more taunting is the absence of the Caps Lock key, but that doesn't mean that functionality has been eradicated completely. Keep on reading to see how to turn the Caps Lock on if you’re using a Chromebook.

One way to go about it is to hit Alt+search (the magnifying glass) to look for the Caps Lock key. Now you should be seeing an arrow appear on the bottom right side of the notifications bar.

Also, there should be a notification reminding you Caps Lock is on. When you’re done, hit Alt+Search again to turn the functionality off.

Another method to do this is just by hitting the Shift key. It will have the same result, as you will see Caps Lock be turned on.

If you feel you’d be more comfortable with another set of combination / specific key, there’s the option to change how you access Caps Lock, by taping the notification bar located on the bottom right. From there go to Settings > Keyboard Setting and choose the right combination for you.
