Federico Ciccarese does it again, this time prototypes are considered

The talented Federico Ciccares, who is responsible for numerous iDevice concepts, has contacted us with a new batch of iWatch photos, this time leaving us in awe.

The stunning iWatch mockup depicted in the gallery below is the work of several designers and IT engineers from Italy, (including Federico himself).

According to the designer, the authors of the concept are “passionate about technology, creativity and art, who believe in useful employment, in the mass market, of these disciplines.”

And the renderings confirm it. Combining key design elements from Apple’s existing iProducts, complete with iOS slapped on that luscious curved display, this iWatch concept by far beats everything else in its ballpark.

There’s more. According to Federico, the authors were so impressed by what they’d achieved that they decided to make real-life “copies,” or prototypes, “one white and the other black, to verify the ergonomics as well as the attractiveness of the object when worn.”

In the meanwhile, Federico and his team are flashing these images around the web to collect feedback to see if there’s demand for such a product. Surely, every Apple fan would give an arm and a leg to have it.

The fashionable design, coupled with the Apple-style aesthetics and iOS 7 indeed beg for the creation of this product.

What’s even more tantalizing is that Apple may, in fact, end up shipping something quite similar to what we're seeing in these photos.

The company has applied for numerous patents relating to curved electronics, batteries and displays, making it fairly possible that it is already working on a similar design.

Reports from high-profile publications have indicated that Apple is working on a wearable computer with a huge team of technicians.

The product is believed to be in development still, with analysts projecting an announcement sometime during 2014.
