Not intended for your average, run-off-the-mill living room

Strictly speaking, this isn't exactly a technological marvel. While it is a small wonder of design, it doesn't exactly show much evidence of mechanical and/or electronic engineering.

That isn't about to make it any less uncanny though. After all, how often does a throne show up, and how often is that throne made out of other seating implements?

I can almost imagine this as a play on the Iron Throne from the “A Song of Ice and Fire” book series, only made out of stools instead of swords.

More precisely, the throne is made of modular cushions that can be taken out and spread across the room whenever guests come en masse.

The name of the throne is Quartz, for some reason. Head over to Touch of Modern to see more of it, though I'm not sure the name will make much more sense even after you go through everything there.
