So far, we have seen our fair share of iPhone or iPad clones come out of Asia. We’re not saying it’s a bad thing, as it gives customers the chance to own a handset which looks and feels good, without dragging in the exorbitant price tags Apple is so well known for.

A few days ago, we told you about ZTE’s upcoming Blade S6 handset, which obviously looks like an iPhone 6. Actually, some of these clones were made available on the Chinese market, well before Apple took the stage to officially announce the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

If most Chinese OEMs have been selectively copying Apple products or devices coming from other companies, the next phone we’re going to talk about has overdone itself.

Chinese OEM takes on copying Samsung and Apple at the same time

Meet the “octa-core smartphone” which is available on Alibaba. Yes, the product doesn’t even have a proper name, but despite this you might want to take a look or two at this device.

First of all, the handset looks like an iPhone 6, and if you put a case on it so as to conceal the logo on the back, you can be pretty sure people will mistake this cheap Chinese unit for the real deal.

But what’s even more intriguing is that the smartphone runs a skin that’s very similar to Samsung’s TouchWiz interface. So as you can see the “octa-core smartphone” successfully copies attributes from two of the world’s greatest tech giants, Sammy and Apple.

Full specs of the "octa-core" smartphone

The device comes with a 5-inch display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. It relies on a MediaTek MT6592M octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz fitted with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

It also has a 5MP/2MP camera combo and runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box. The copycat can be yours for a lousy $100 / €, which is light years away from what you’ll end up paying for a high-end Samsung or Apple phone.
