And so it came to pass that the duffel bag was no longer made by man's hands

There are lots of jokes about Apple being an incarnation of god, or Steve Jobs having been Jesus, and I dare say that 3D printing technology is raking up a lot of clout in the satirically divine department.

You see, not only is 3D printing technology used for world-changing things like 3D printed blood vessels, but it's being used for ordinary things as well.

Like, say, bags. Duffle bags. Nike duffel bags to be exact. The sort you carry your athletic equipment in on your way to the gym.

Pictured above, the bag was made for Brazil's 2014 FIFA World Cup and is called the Rebento Duffel.

And some people said that luggage could not be fashionable. Well, not many people, but it was generally assumed that 3D printing wasn't up to making fashionable clothing and accessories.

Sure, there were a couple of nylon dresses, but they didn't really charm the pants off anyone from what I've heard.

Anyway, the Rebento Duffel, Nike Football's first 3D-printed sports bag, was designed especially for Neymar Jr., Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo, which is probably the reason there are only three of them. Shame, that.

No doubt, they'll become bloody expensive collector's items in a few years. No clue about the cost, though, or when (and if) they'll be mass-produced.
