Samsung shows you why you should consider its rugged tablet

You might remember that back at IFA 2014 Samsung was one of the few to introduce a new tablet. Well, not exactly new, but let’s call it redesigned.

We’re talking about the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active tablet which is basically Sammy’s Galaxy Tab 4 8-inch tablet with rugged properties plastered on top, to make it appealing to professionals activating in inhospitable environments.

The Galaxy Tab Active comes with an 8-inch display with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and takes advantage of a 1.2 quad-core processor fitted with 1.5GB of RAM. The slate has 16GB of internal storage and two cameras (3.1MP on the back and 1.2MP up in front).

Everything onboard relies on the 4,450 mAh battery which should provide enough juice to fuel an entire day of work.

These are the exact specs of the normal Galaxy Tab 4 8-inch, but now Samsung adds a slew of unique features including dust and water resistance and the capacity to withstand drops from a 1.2 m / 3.9 ft height plus a special C-Pen.

The trouble with the Galaxy Tab Active bunch is that they are horribly overpriced, as Samsung is selling them for $699.99 / €552 a pop.

So it’s no wonder a lot of consumer might have the tendency of staying away from them. However, Samsung wants to show you what the Active bunch is all about so it has released four new commercials highlighting how cool and useful these tablets are.

Go check them out below to form an opinion.
