Back in February I brought you news of Platform 46, which is basically a huge Android coffee table. The slate has a 46-inch /116 cm diagonal and is probably one of the largest Android devices on the market.

The table runs Android 4.4 KitKat so users are allowed access to the Google Play Store where they can download apps and gates. The Platform is powered by a 3.7GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor combined with 16GB of RAM and 500GB of hard drive, so you’ll be able to play quite a lot of titles on it.

Recently, the slate has been spotted running Minecraft Pocket Edition, which is pretty fantastic and we’ll surely keep enthusiasts indoors for a bigger portion of milk, cookies and building blocks. As I think about it, the Android table would be perfect for hosting a super fun Minecraft party.

For those interested in such a gizmo, Platform is available for purchase for $6,950 / €5,400. For those worrying about damaging the tablet with grease and spilled drinks, don’t as the slate is ruggedized and will survive going through such mishaps.

Anyway, the tablet is also available with Windows 7/8 versions and if you can’t decide which one you would prefer, you can grab the dual-boot Windows 8/KitKat model, says BusinessInsider. The legacy of the ASUS Transformer Book Duet is not dead yet.
