If you are one of those people who found the BlackBerry Passport absolutely stunning, despite its atypical square-ish design, you’ll probably love the following concept to pieces.

Designer Andrew Zhilin loves to think out of the box, so he came up with a BlackBerry concept that blends key aesthetic features of the Canadian mobile maker with Rado tech.

If you’re not familiar with Rado tech, know that this brand is responsible for producing some very stylish and elegant watches in Switzerland.

So naturally the BlackBerry Rado Sintra is a concept that reeks of luxury and high-end design features. Zhilin envisioned the handset as taking advantage of discrete metallic buttons and segmented body made out of premium materials.

The Rado Sintra features signature scratch resistant Radio Hi-Tech ceramic, titanium alloy and sapphire crystal coating.

The handset is said to run on BlackBerry 10.3 (by the way, the BlackBerry 10.3.1 update is coming towards the middle of the month) and comes equipped with a so-called Phantom Keyboard.

The BlackBerry Rado Sintra is a real beauty

What that means is that the keyboard will only appear when the display is awoken and will fade out once the user is done typing something on it.

The keys on the phone are made out of Corning Gorilla Glass 4 with symbols treated underneath. The technology employs olephobic coating to make sure the grease from your fingers doesn’t end up affecting the device.

The phone has what the designer is calling “Gull Wings” which are basically flaps that seamlessly hide the SIM card and micro USB ports.

Moreover, the phone enjoys dual speakers that bestow Hi Res audio capabilities.

As you can see for yourselves in the image where the Rado Sintra gets compared to Rado tech’s watch products, the handset is heavily inspired by the designed schematics of the luxury watch producer.

It’s a beautiful piece, one that we wouldn’t mind seeing arrive on the market one day. We wonder what folks over at BlackBerry would have to say about this.

What’s lacking in the description are the specs of the device, so we can only imagine something along the lines of a QHD display and Snapdragon 810 processor under the hood.

What do you think?
