GDF Suez, Shell, US Energy Security Council and others will take part

SMi has announced that the third edition of the annual Oil and Gas Cyber Security conference will take place between November 25-26, in London, UK.

According to the organizers of the event, cyber security case studies and projects will be presented by representatives of Petroleum Development Oman, GDF Suez, Shell, United States Energy Security Council, BDO Norway, TNO and other companies.

Oil and gas companies spend massive amounts of money to make sure their networks are protected against cyber threats. It’s estimated that by 2018, spending will reach $1.87 billion (€1.43 billion).

The list of speakers includes Fathiya Al Farsi, head IM&T risk management, Petroleum Development Oman; Phil Jones, security and resilience manager, GDF Suez E&P UK Ltd; Auke Huistra, lead workforce development PCD IT security, Shell Projects & Technology; and Geir Arild Engh-Hellesvik, senior manager, technology risk services, BDO Norway.
