Thermaltake definitely launched a fair number of computer cases and case accessories recently, but it doesn't seem to be satisfied with just this much attention. As such, it decided it would once again turn the heads of enthusiasts and PC gamers by revealing modified versions of one of its already popular products. This once, the one to suffer a makeover is the V6 enclosure. This product has now reincarnated as the V6 BlacX Edition and, besides the general specifications, comes with a special component that makes it easier to mount multiple hard disk drives and solid state drives.

The Thermaltake V6 BlacX Edition has five exposed 5.25-inch optical drive bays. This allows a significant number of ODDs and other related devices to be added to the system configuration, while the added bonus of the tool-free design makes such operations easy to carry out. The front of the chassis also includes a panel with USB and audio ports. Furthermore, the aforementioned tool-less design extends to the PCI cards, for a double dose of the ease-of-use factor.

In addition to the basic expansion slots and drive bays, the bottom of the case comes with a removable and cleanable dust filter. The casing even includes top-mounted docking stations that support not just 3.5-inch SATA hard drives and solid state drives, but also the smaller 2.5-inch form factor. As for cooling, the V6 BlacX Edition has two fans. A 120mm spinner with a rotary speed of 1300RPM is mounted at the rear. The other one, placed at the top, is even larger, at 200mm in diameter, and has a blue LED and a speed of 800RPM.

Thermaltake is selling the all-black V6 BlacX Edition with a recommended price tag of $69. All in all, it measures 462 (H) x 220 (W) x 490 (D) mm and weights 6.7kg,
