Super Mario Galaxy 2 is still the second

Red Dead Redemption maintained its tight grip of the first place for the fifth time in a row in the United Kingdom all-formats sales charts in the past week. As a matter of fact, nothing has changed in the top three spots of the list, with Super Mario Galaxy 2 staying on the second place and EA Sports' 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa still being the third best selling video game in the UK.

The launch of the Resurgence Map Pack made Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 keep its momentum and even climb up one place to number six. This is quite a spectacular achievement for a core game that is more than six months old. Ubisoft's Just Dance is also still doing quite well, selling enough last week to go up to number four.

The last week also hosted two impressive comebacks in the UK, with Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands rising five spots from number 12 to number seven and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 climbing up no less than nine places from number 20 to number 11. The new entries were Hideo Kojima's latest opus, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, at number 18, showing that PlayStation Portable piracy really hurt sales, and Codemasters' International Cricket 2010, at a decent number 12.

Rooms: The Main Building maintained its surprising placement in the top 10, going down only one spot to number five. Activision's Blur and Disney's Split/Second: Velocity also fared better last week, with the former climbing two places to number nine and the latter four places to number 15, avoiding to fall off from the top 20. The chart data that the ELSPA will release next week might contain some very interesting changes, as this week sees the release of many interesting titles, including Singularity, Naughty Bear, LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 and Transformers: War for Cybertron.
