Unfortunately, it is still unclear whether they sparkle or have perfect hair

Psychology lecturer Dr. Emyr Williams claims, unknown to many, Britain is now home to about 15,000 real-life vampires who like to get together every once in a while and drink the blood of folks who have no trouble with being turned into human kegs.

Dr. Emyr Williams explains that, although they might not sparkle when out in the sunlight or have perfect hair, these vampire have some very precise rules that they must abide by and that govern their behavior. Kind of like a constitution, if you will.

What's more, it turns out that not all real-life vampires are the same or have the same dietary preferences. On the contrary, there are sanguine vampires, who feast on blood, and psychic vampires, who suck on people's energy.

“Vampires are a group of people who drink blood, but their well-established laws mean they know who it can and can’t be taken from,” psychology lecturer Dr. Emyr Williams tells the press in a recent interview, as cited by Metro.

“For example, Sanguine vampires receive blood from willing donors who they can only cut on certain parts of the body, and they are forbidden from taking too much. There are also Psychic and Hybrid vampires, blood donors, role-players and enthusiasts who are part of the community,” he adds.

Dr. Emyr Williams is now looking to learn more about this culture by means of an online questionnaire that he has pieced together. He argues that real-life vampires are nothing short of fascinating, and that there is no reason one should not try to get to know them better.
