Nokia will offer customers the opportunity of having a word to say in the design of their mobile phones. During the Art Meets Intelligence Design Fest, people will have the chance to suggest a special theme for their N76 handset.

The Finnish company wants to make this mobile phone as easy to customize as possible by their customers. In fact, the N76 multimedia phone underwent a make-over process before.

Some time ago, Nokia worked with artist Bj?rn Weckstr?m in order to create a limited edition of hand-crafted phone, covered in jewels. The N76 Signature Edition proved the fact that the handset is great for being customized, which set grounds for the idea of giving people too the chance of personalizing the handset's appearance.

Nokia has partnered with magazine Elle decor in order to make this competition possible. The Art Meets Intelligence Design Fest will host the contest starting with the 20th of July. People will try to design a particular theme for the Nokia N76 handset aiming to win such a phone and also a trip to the company's design centre in Finland.

Those passionate by Nokia's mobile phones and the N76 clamshell in particular will get thrilled over the prize. Moreover, the competition is available only for people living in India, which makes the trip in Finland one most welcomed prize for a huge change of scenery.

The design concepts will be analyzed by a jury made of world-renowned Indian designers, who will try to reach common grounds on the most original one. Moreover, Nokia has made available for the participants on the company's website a collection of mobile themes in order to inspire and stimulate them to come up with even better ones.

Nokia N76 was launched in India almost a month ago. It is available in this country for an estimated price of Rs 22,000, depending on the area.
