The iPhone will be available in the UK starting today, at 6PM. Reports of people already lining up for the device have come, showing a pretty promising start for Apple's phone in Europe as well.

O2 is aware of the fact that this will be the year's most important product release. Because of this, they looked to make the best of it and stated that "We've hired and trained hundreds of new iPhone specialists who will be in all 450 O2 stores giving live demos and showing customers how to get the most out of their iPhone", according to Mark Stansfeld, O2's sales director.

"Every Apple retail store will offer support for iPhone at the legendary Genius Bar, and beginning Saturday morning you can learn how to get the most out of your new iPhone by attending a free workshop or scheduling a personal training session through our popular One-to-One program", said Ron Johnson, Apple's senior vice president of Retail.

A huge number of iPhones will be available at more than 1,300 Apple, O2 and Carphone Warehouse retail locations across the UK, just waiting for their customers to get their hands on them. New iPhone users in the UK will be able to activate their new iPhones using Apple's popular iTunes software running on a PC or Mac. This should take only a few minutes and also make it possible for the owner to then easily sync all its personal information, such as phone numbers, email accounts, web browser bookmarks, music, photos, podcasts and TV shows.

The iPhone will be sold exclusively in the UK through Apple, O2 and Carphone Warehouse's retail and online stores for 270 pounds, on a new 18-month contract with the carrier. The producer will keep the same limits for customers as it imposed in the US. This means that the retail locations will allow customers to purchase only two iPhones per person.
