The world's biggest private yacht, manufactured by a German company, has been launched, reports say.

According to the World Record Academy, the Guinness Book of World Records recognizes the Azzam as the title holder in this category.

Berlin-based Lurssen Yachts has launched the 180-meter (590-foot) vessel, with a 20.7-meter (68-foot) beam.

The yacht is the size of two football fields and you can fit 12 double-decker buses on board. It was designed by Italian company Nauta Yachts and its construction was a 4-year operation.

The Azzam, Arabic for “dedication,” has been crafted for an undisclosed buyer, possibly a member of Saudi royalty.

At 94,000 horsepower, it is also one of the fastest private yachts out there and can reach speeds of 55.5 kph (34.5 mph).
